Calendar was a Season's Greetings giveaway by the New-Way Cleaners that was located at 3989 Houston Ave in Macon, Georgia. Douglass Crockwell had a knack for getting the kind of assignments that were Norman Rockwellesque. Crockwell had his own style, however, and his incredible realism and facility with subjects ranging from war to illness to family reunions made him one of the most popular artists of the 1940s and 50s. This one is called "Show Them The Way". Church building is in the background and an angelic boy and girl are holding hands with their Sunday Bible School papers, blooming Dogwoods surround the top. Backing measures 10" by 17 1/4". The backing has bent corners and a small tear at the top, overall it is in great shape. We love rare and odd items, please bookmark us as a favorite seller.
