Description
For your consideration is this lot of seven very early Snap-on tools. There are four ½” drive sockets from the 1920’s. Starting with the oldest, there’s a 1/2” with the S/O-Overstrike (1920 – 1923), a 3/4" with a No. 240 model number and no date code (1924 – 1929), a 1/2" with a “7” date code (1927), and a 9/16” with an “8” date code (1928). There’s a rare ½” drive P-14 Crank Case 7/16” Drain Plug Socket (1925 – 1933). There’s a 12” long No.3 Spinner type T-Handle with the older detent ball stops on the spinner handle, it is marked “No.3” on one side, and “0” and “6-“ on the other side. It is not marked Snap-on, but by design it is defiantly a Snap-on, so the marking wore off or it never had one like the earliest sockets. There is also a very early V-21 Valve Clearance Adjusting Tool with the ½” hex drive and the earlier smaller spinner handle, its marked “Snap-on PAT. No.1544520” on both sides. The sockets are in very good condition for their age, the drain plug socket markings are a little worn but otherwise it is in real good shape. The T –Handle has some scratches and dents and the Valve Tool has some light pitting and finish wear but they are both in real good working condition. Please see pictures for more details.
